"Urban" Sketching - Members Only Meet Ups
Each month members meet around the Tucson area to sketch together. We often do a series of study and whether it be architectural or native plants we always enjoy our local outings.
Trains, Planes and Automobile Urban Sketching Series November 2013
This series will focus on transportation as an art form.
Session One Thursday Oct. 31 at 10 am -12pm/ Session One repeated on Saturday Nov. 2nd at 10am
A good exercise is to draw smaller elements of the urban landscape so we will start the series drawing automobiles at the Franklin Auto Museum.
The Franklin automobile collection has grown to include additional representative examples of all Franklin automobiles.
The H. H. Franklin Foundation is an educational museum of cars and displays. This is the center of Franklin history.
Bring camper folding chairs so you can sit close to the vehicles.
Later in the series we will hit the streets sketching parked cars in the downtown area.

Southern Arizona Transportation Museum
We will meet at Maynards Market at 10am for some quick sketches of the depot and people - The Train Museum opens at 11am - there is a locomotive that is on display - this will make for a great perspective study.

Pima Air and Space museum
Pima Air & Space Museum one of the largest air and space Museums in the world, and the largest non-government funded aviation Museum. You'll see more than 300 aircraft and spacecraft, among them many of the most historically significant and technically advanced craft ever produced, both from the United States and throughout the world.
The Museum is the official tour operator of the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG), also known as the "Boneyard," which is located adjacent Davis-Monthan Air Force Base.
